Connect with Seniors by Calling for Grocery Orders

Open Opportunity

About

Are you great on the phone? Do you enjoy making connections? Help homebound seniors and people with disabilities maintain their independence by becoming a weekly grocery order taker.

We're looking for caring, dedicated volunteers to call our clients each week for their grocery orders. Since most of our clients are homebound, this might be one of the few calls they get and they look forward to hearing from you. Training is provided. Calls are made from our nice SW Portland office in Multnomah Village.

The following shifts are available:
Monday Morning at Store to Door's Office (9:30 am - 11 am)
Tuesday Morning at Store to Door's Office (9 am – 11:30 am)
Tuesday Afternoon at Store to Door's Office (1 - 3 pm)
On-call Order Takers: Sometimes our regular order takers are unavailable due to vacations or illness, so we need to have a strong list of on-call order takers to make up the orders the regulars may be missing.

Volunteers for this position make a weekly commitment in order to provide consistency for our clients. We also ask that you are able to volunteer as a caller for at least 6 months.

Background check required.
